About Dr. Walters
Dr. Nathan Walters knew when he walked into an oral surgery clinic in dental school that this was the career for him. He fell in love with the profession, enjoying its combination of medicine and dentistry. He feels like he was born to be an oral surgeon and looks forward to each day of excitement, challenges, and fulfillment.
Following his degree, Dr. Walters opened a practice with one of his friends. Over the years, they experienced great success and have since added new doctors, expanded to new locations, and opened a surgical center. Looking for a new practice to join, Dr. Walters wanted to work alongside skilled physicians and was thrilled to join the team at Kentuckiana Oral Maxillofacial and Dental Implant Surgery. It is important for him to collaborate with other professionals in an area he loved, and he found the perfect fit at this practice.
Dr. Walters feels privileged to help others through oral surgery by improving their confidence, alleviating anxiety, and relieving pain. When patients are nervous, he takes the time to explain the procedure and expected outcomes. He answers any questions and explains the variety of anesthesia options available for a comfortable experience.

Dr. Walters earned a BS in biology from the University of Notre Dame in 1996. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Texas - Houston in 2004.

Most of Dr. Walter’s free time revolves around his three children. He enjoys attending sporting events and concerts. He feels very lucky to have traveled all over the world and looks forward to any opportunity to experience new things.
